Web Directories – are they worth submitting to?

There are THOUSANDS of web directories online.  You could spend 40 hours a week for a month submitting to them all, but is it worth it? Yes and no,  over the next few weeks I’ll discuss the different directories and why you should be submitting to them.   The first one I want to talk about is Best of the Web

I found this site by reviewing some of the training materials I had brought (at great expense) by an online guru. Generally I don’t follow the gurus, I find alot of the materials they are selling are WAY over priced, but with any new site you trully need to laydown a good foundation. That foundation should include good quality links. What I liked about them is that Best of the Web is one of the oldest directories on the web. Its constantly updated and all links are reviewed by a human. They have an annual fee of $99 a year, or the better price of $249 for a lifetime listing. Its current page rank is a 6 and its a general directory, so b2b, consumer sites, hobbies sites etc are all welcome here!
