How To Invite More Blog Subscribers Effectively

Every blogger thrives on his readers. If you have a blog, surely you want to invite more people right? But how can you get more people to subscribe to your blog?

Some blogs have great content but the problem is, they don’t have the tools where subscribers can simply click on a button or input their e-mails address conveniently. Make it easy for your readers to avail of their subscription. Don’t give your readers a hard time trying to find out how they can subscribe to your blog.

RSS Feeds

For best results, have an RSS button right on your website where people can just click on the button and instantly get feeds from your blog whenever you post updates. RSS which stands for Really Simple Syndication let’s your readers subscribe to your blog right from their browsers. Some people don’t like to receive e-zines because they don’t want to receive anything in their inbox except personal e-mails. Thus, an RSS can still enable your reader to get updates from your blog even without an e-mail subscription. Remember to put that RSS add feed button where your readers can easily find it on your page.

E-mail Subscription

Right next to your RSS feed button, you can also provide an e-mail subscription field where your readers can enter their name and e-mail, then just click on the submit button. Don’t use complicated subscription forms that asks your readers to input too many information. Most people don’t have the time and the patience to fill up too many fields just to get a subscription. As much as possible, just require the name and e-mail address.

Now that you have your RSS feed button and your email subscription field, do not forget to ask your readers to subscribe. Some people will not voluntarily subscribe or RSS a blog. For some, even if they enjoyed something, they simply click on the back button of their browser or exit their browser without thinking about subscribing. It will make a big difference if you’ll just ask.

Don’t be afraid to ask

At the end of your article, you may include a short message that says something like, “If you enjoyed this post, get a free subscription or free updates.” Use links or a button that will take your reader to the dedicated subscription page of your site. On your subscription page, make sure you have both the RSS feed button as well as the e-mail subscription field prominently.

A Freebie, anyone? Offering a freebie just for subscribing is an effective way to gain new subscribers. You can offer your readers some valuable information that can help them for free. This can be in a form o e-book, a report, an e-course, or an audio. People always love to get freebies and some just can’t resist a free offer.

Be Part of the Online Community

Don’t forget the value of interaction and building friendships. You can get more exposure in your blog if you let others know that your blogs exists. How? By visiting other people’s blog. Sharing a sensible view or leaving an appreciative comment in other blogs will lead more people to yours. Get involved in forum discussions especially ones that related to your blog or your expertise. Just remember, not to focus on just getting back links since this can really annoy other bloggers. Instead, be sincere with your online participation. Be generous and you’ll see the results of your efforts.
