Many online business owners today promote their businesses through blogging. Blogs are easier to update and enables you interact with your audience so it’s a good idea to add a link to your blog from your business website. How can you encourage audience participation from your blog? Below are internet marketing tips on how to encourage readers to comment on your posts:
Write with a personal tone. A blog is actually a personal journal so you must write your posts in a conversational tone. Do not try to write in a formal style. Instead, write as if you’re actually talking to your reader. This will help your readers to feel welcome and comfortable.
Ask your readers to leave a comment. At the end of your post, don’t forget to ask your readers to leave a moment. Even a simple statement such as, “Your comments are appreciated”, can move a reader to click on the comment button and share something. You can also ask a question that is related with the topic of your post.
Ask a survey question. A polling question at the end of your post is another great strategy in inviting people to leave comments. For instance, if you have posted about a specific product, why not ask your readers if they have tried that product before or if they would recommend the product to other people?
Blog about current events or hot topics. People love to read blogs that discuss hot topics or intriguing topics. Read the news and write your reaction about it. Usually, readers will respond if they are genuinely interested in the topic.
Offer freebies or giveaways. Another way to attract more visitors to your blog and to encourage more comments is to offer giveaways. To enter the giveaway, the reader must leave a comment about the post.
Add a “get notified” or “alert me” link. Add a “subscribe to comments” button on your posts so that readers can be notified when there is a response to their comment.
Respond to your reader’s comments. Don’t forget to respond to your reader/s’ comments, especially if they are asking questions. As an internet marketer, it gives you the opportunity to get to know your followers and build up stronger customer relationships.
